Distribution Photometry

LightLab International Allentown, LLC uses LightLab International's R80A Type-C rotating mirror goniometer (test distance > 9.5m (31ft)) with photometer and spectroradiometer measurement capabilities. This highly accurate instrument is capable of measuring the color and intensity of light emitted in specific directions from a lamp or luminaire. A full set of measurements can then be compiled into a test report with tables and graphs to describe the distribution of light from the test subject.

Test reports typically include:

  • Total Luminous Flux (lumens)
  • Luminaire efficacy or efficiency (as applicable)
  • Intensity distribution (candela)
  • Zonal lumen summary
  • Polar plot of candela values
  • Luminance (cd/m2)
  • Utilization of Lumens or Coefficients of Utilization (as applicable)
